A preform is a bottle or jar prior to blow molding into its final form. Constar has one of the most comprehensive preform portfolios in the industry and is a leading preform supplier to beverage manufacturers in North America and Europe. We offer a wide array of preforms that vary in size, gram weight and finish types. This includes barrier enhanced preforms that incorporate our oxygen-scavenging technologies Oxbar®, MonOxbar® and DiamondClear®, which are currently used to extend the shelf life of oxygen-sensitive products such as juices, ready-to-drink teas, sports drinks, beer, wine, and flavored alcoholic beverages.

Preforms incorporating Constar's proprietary barrier technologies can be shipped to customers worldwide, thereby broadening the application and benefits of the technology. The economic advantage is obvious as preforms can be shipped for less cost than empty bottles or jars. An additional advantage of Constar's technology is that preforms with Oxbar, MonOxbar, and DiamondClear can be blown into bottles on the existing base of blow-molding equipment throughout the world.
